Vortex chains in the mixed state of anisotropic high-Tc superconductors

Description
The equilibrium vortex lattice for highly anisotropic superconductors in a magnetic field tilted by small angle with respect to the easy plane of the crystal is found to display an array of vortex chains. This affects the behavior of the depinning current as a function of the angle: its sharp maximum, which presumably is due to intrinsic pinning, is broadened. (orig.)
