Corrections to the imulas impulse approximation of the quark model and violation of Feynman scaling for inclusive spectra in the fragmentation region

Description

In the quasi-nuclear quark model the secondary particle spectra in the region x> or approximately 0.1 are generated by hadrons containing one or two spectator quarks. With account for the shadow corrections to the impulse approximation, i.e. those due to interactions of several quark pairs in pp collisions, the number of spectator quarks is changed, and the magnitude of the inclusive spectra of various particles in the fragmentation region is changed correspondinaly. Numerically this effect amounts to about 20-30% at the energies of approximately 102 GeV. The relative increase of shadow corrections which is due to a rise of the total cross sections with energy must result in a violation of the scaling in spectra of the secondary particles. An especially strong violation of the scaling is predicted in the case of nuclear targets
