Does low-energy physics depend on the potential of a heavy Higgs particle

  • 1. Fermi National Accelerator Lab., Batavia, IL (USA)

Description

The two-loop corrections to vector-boson propagators and vertices are calculated in the limit of large Higgs mass for a model with one Higgs doublet but arbitrary gauage-invariant potential. The corrections are finite even for a non-renormalizable potential. By a suitable choice of the PHI6 term in the potential the corrections due to the Higgs self-coupling are cancelled. (orig.)
