Refining a high rate gamma spectrometry system
Description
An overload resistant input stage with PA step response equalizer, automatic self-alignment of previous pulse subtraction gain, and a novel automatic discriminator are valuable improvements for the Preloaded Filter (PLF) pulse processing system. Measurements with an RC-type preamplifier also make clear that the PLF gives superior results not only with transistor reset preamplifiers. (author) 3 refs.; 6 figs
