NEA activities in economics and funding of decommissioning

There are three main aspects of this topic that have been studied by the NEA under auspices of its Nuclear Development Committee. They are the estimated costs of decommissioning; the burden of decommissioning on electricity generation costs; and the mechanisms for ensuring that resources will be available when decommissioning expenditures fall due.
