Description
To determine the ordering temperature of ferromagnetic alloys by use of the Moessbauer effect, a 'thermal scan' measurement of counting rate at the center of gravity of the spectrum is necessary. We present a low cost microcomputer controlled system, which sets up the temperatures, takes the spectra and evaluates the ordering temperature from a sequence of measurements. As an example the Curie temperatures of disordered fcc FePt-Invar alloys are given. (orig.)
