Clinical radiology. A textbook including a review manual

In this textbook, the emphasis is less on conventional X-ray techniques of proven value than on more recently developed methods of medical imaging like computed tomography and magnetic resonance tomography. The strategies currently followed in the initial diagnosis, rather than invariably relying on the X-ray methods of the past, are to an increasing extent based on innovative technologies. A considerable part of the textbook is basically an attempt at surveying the contributions of the individual radiologic and radionuclide methods to the establishment of a firm diagnosis. It is pointed out that one single method may provide just one single piece of information. Pathologic changes often can only be assessed in detail, if the individual results of various tests are assembled to make up a complete picture.
