Description

Objective: To explore the significance of changes of serum IL-6, IL-10, IL-15 and TNF-α levels in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods: Serum levels of IL-6 TNF-α (with RIA) IL-10, IL-18, levels (with ELA) were measured in 71 patients with CHD (35 SAP, 21 UAP, 15 AMI) and 35 controls. Results: Serum levels of IL-6, IL-10, IL-18 and TNF-α in patients with coronary heart disease were significantly higher than those in the controls (P<0.01 ), Among the CHD patients, the levels of IL-6, IL-10, IL-18 and TNF-α in AMI and UAP groups were significantly higher than those in SAP Group (P< 0.05). Conclusion: Levels of serum pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-10, IL-18 and TNF-α levels increased significantly in patients with coronary heart disease especially in those advanced cases.
