Description
Since the early nineties, GRS has supported regulatory authorities in Central and Eastern Europe in performing safety assessments of nuclear power plants. Especially studies of the condensation-type pressure suppression system of VVER-440/V-213-type plants have been important in this respect. Major steps in demonstrating complete functioning of the condensation-type pressure suppression system under accident conditions by experiments run in the Russian large scale test facility, BC V-213, have been completed in the past two years within the framework of various international experimental programs. The test results were used to validate specifically for power plants with VVER-400/V-213 reactors the COCOSYS GRS computer code, which is used in the safety assessments. The results of recalculations of the C02 EREC test, which simulates a break of a main steam pipe, demonstrate the present state of validation of COCOSYS for VVER condensation-type pressure suppression systems. Abstract (German)
Seit Beginn der 90er Jahre unterstuetzt die GRS Genehmigungsbehoerden in Mittel- und Osteuropa bei der Durchfuehrung von Sicherheitsbeurteilungen fuer Kernkraftwerke. Besondere Bedeutung haben dabei Untersuchungen zum Nasskondensator von Anlagen des Typs WWER-440/W-213. Wesentliche Schritte zum vollstaendigen Funktionsnachweis des Nasskondensators unter Stoerfallbedingungen durch Experimente an der russischen Grossversuchsanlage BC V-213 sind in den vergangen zwei Jahren im Rahmen verschiedener, internationaler Experimentalprogramme vollzogen worden. Unter Verwendung der Versuchsergebnisse wurde das GRS-Rechenprogramm COCOSYS, das in den Sicherheitsbeurteilungen verwendet wird, speziell fuer Kraftwerke mit WWER-440/W-213 validiert. Die Ergebnisse aus den Nachrechnungen zum EREC Test G02, der einen Frischdampfleitungsbruch simuliert, demonstrieren den gegenwaertigen Validierungsstand von COCOSYS fuer WWER-Nasskondensatoren.
