Beyond the standard model at the SSC
Description
The author summarizes the work on the search for physics beyond the Standard Model at the SSC which was performed at the Oregon Workshop on Super High Energy Physics. Three areas are covered: the physics of new W's and Z's, multi-Higgs doublet models, and composite models. The following topics are discussed: 1. properties of a new Z' gauge boson suggested by superstring models, and its production and decay properties at the SSC; 2. the decay properties of a neutral Majorana lepton resulting from the decay of a new W' gauge boson; 3. aspects of two-Higgs doublet models with special focus on the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model; 4. leptonic signals at the SSC from composite models of quarks and leptons; and 5. the production and decay of excited weak vector bosons at the SSC. 74 references, 35 figures
