Large transverse momentum processes and the constituent interchange model
Description
In this lecture large transverse momentum processes are discussed within the framework of the constituent interchange model. The predictions of the constituent interchange model are found to be consistent with the normalization, as well as the scaling laws and angular dependence, of measured large psub(T) meson and baryon cross sections. The normalization of the hadronic couplings to valence quarks is computed. Predictions for quantum number correlations between the trigger particles and away side jets are discussed. We also contrast the predictions of the CIM and quark-quark scattering models. (author)
