Description
Evaporation and condensation of a mixed 3He-4He system were studied experimentally using the heat pulse technique. Analysis based on a weak coupling model of the surface state with the bulk excitations as an evaporation and condensation mechanism gave information of the 3He surface trapped state which agrees with the surface tension measurements. In addition, the results seem to suggest that the accumulation of surface 3He does not essentially affect the evaporation of 4He atoms in the 3He-4He mixture. (Auth.)
