Description
The image potential barrier plays an important role in the creation of surface resonances for low energy electrons scattering off metallic substrates. These resonances produce fine structure in the crystal reflectivity which can cause the breakdown of some theoretical models. We present a method to add the image potential barrier for large angle inelastic electron scattering from adsorbate vibrations
