Description

One of the tasks of the HINDAS collaboration was to improve the theoretical models (intranuclear cascade INC followed by evaporation-fission) describing proton-induced spallation reactions. This effort has led to the release of INCL4. Recent assessments of the implementation of the Pauli blocking and of the nuclear mean field improved the prediction capabilities of the INCL model. The paper describes the results obtained by the implementation of an isospin- and energy-dependent nuclear mean field. (orig.)
