Description

A Monte Carlo Computer code, BONE, has been developed which simulates the coupled transport of electrons and gamma rays with associated bremsstrahlung effects. Results of the code indicate a significant contribution of electron and gamma absorbed dose in the complex bone slab. BONE is directly applicable to situations where a description of spatially dependent energy deposition is important. One example of such a situation is presented in this paper. That is the absorbed dose distribution in human femur, as a result of Sr-90 deposition. (author). 3 refs.; 2 figs.; 1 tab
