Model-independent analysis of the inverse electroproduction of pions at the energy of 276 MeV

Description
Data on the reaction π- + p → e+ + e- + n at the energy of 276 MeV are analysed phenomenologically. Contributions from states with various polarization on the virtual photon to the reaction cross section are determined in a model-independent way. The results are compared with predictions of the dispersion-theoretical model. Production cross section for the scalar photon is found. A model-independent method is proposed to measure the Dirac isovector form factor
