Quark model calculation of the parity violating NNπ coupling in the Weinberg-Salam model

Description
We argue that there are no charged current contributions to the parity violating NNπ coupling except for small contributions from flavour symmetry breaking effects. From the neutral current product only the left-right chiral component contributes which is considerably enhanced due to gluon corrections and due to the lightness of current quark masses. The resulting parity violating NNπ coupling has a definite phase and is 10 times stronger than the value used previously in nuclear physics calculations. (orig.)

Es wird gezeigt, dass der geladene Strom bis auf kleine Beitraege der die Geschmackssymmetrie verletztenden Terme keinen Beitrag zur paritaetsverletztenden NNπ-Kopplung liefert. Vom Produkt des neutralen Stroms traegt nur die links-rechts-Chiralkomponente bei, die aufgrund von Gluonkorrekturen und der bisherigen kleinen Quarkmassen betraechtlich verstaerkt ist. Die resultierende paritaetsverletzten NNπ-Kopplung besitzt eine definierte Phase und ist etwa 10 mal staerker als der in neueren kernphysikalischen Rechnungen verwendete Wert. (orig.)
