Development of electro-mobility. To demystify issues of feasibility to make emerge opportunities for the electric power system
Description
In order to shed a light of the feasibility and opportunities for the electric power system in relationship with the development of electrical mobility, this report first outlines that the electric vehicle is relevant to face environmental and air quality stakes in transports: necessary de-carbonation of transports as a stake for climate and public health, the electric vehicle as a solution with a low carbon print over its life cycle, and a regulation in favour of the development of this market of electrical vehicles. The next part discusses issues related to feasibility and to opportunities. It shows that a massification of electrical vehicles is not a stake in terms of electricity consumption, and that power demands can be managed and optimised through a recharge control. The third part addresses the issue of access to recharge: necessary development of recharge points, and necessary anticipation of stakes related to recharge payment.
