This letter briefly discusses a proposal to revise the ICRP's radiation weighting factors for neutrons because the weighting factors considerably overestimate the values of the quality factor. The main aim of this proposal is seen in preserving the simplicity and practicability of the relationship of the ICRP. (UK)
