Description
The authors have summed up the results of clinicoroentgenological diagnosis of sideropenic dysphagia, a rare disease , in 9 patients. Its most important clinical symptoms are progressive dysphagia, anemia and a considerable decrease in the serum iron content. X-ray changes in the cervical part of the esophagus and hypopharinx which are typical of these disease, can be detected in the overwhelming majority of patients. Patients' examination should be started with an x-ray study of the esophagus using a special method to be followed by endoscopic investigation with spot biopsy
