Description
Using the similarity of mechanisms of deuteron electrodisintegration e- + d → e- + n + p (exchange by virtual photon) and of diffractive disintegration of deuterons by high-energy pions, π + d → π + p + n (exchange by vector Pomeron), the general dependence of the differential cross sections for d (π, π'p)n on vector and tensor polarizations of the target is established. A model for the amplitude of deuteron diffractive dissociation, which is based on the Pomeron-photon analogy, is suggested. The model is based on the relativistic impulse approximation for the amplitude of P + d → p + n. To take into account the effects of strong np-interaction, the amplitude for such approximation is unitarized with the help of np-scattering phases (in states with zero value of total isospin). Such a model predicts the large values of corresponding asymmetries in d-vector(π,π'p)n and their strong dependence on kinematical conditions of the discussed reaction
