Description

The existence of particles with mass > 5 GeV c2 and lifetime > 10-7 sec has been suggested by the presence of energetic hadrons arriving delayed with respect to air shower fronts. Three events with E > 30 GeV and delay > 30 ns have been reported at mountain level. Here we report on a new experiment to search for such events at sea level
