Magnetic field measurements on board of altitude-research rockets

Electric currents within the Earth's magneto- and ionosphere can be probed by measuring their magnetic fields. Different payloads of the national sounding rocket programme will carry magnetometers of high resolution and dynamic range. Thorough test procedures are necessary to evaluate the instrument's properties and possible interference problems. (orig.)

Zum Nachweis magnetosphaerischer und ionosphaerischer elektrischer Stroeme werden auf verschiedenen Nutzlasten des nationalen Hoehenforschungsraketenprogrammes Magnetometer geflogen. Voraussetzung fuer die Erfuellung der Messaufgabe sind hohe Aufloesung und grosser Dynamikbereich des Instrumentes sowie eine genaue Kenntnis der Geraeteigenschaften und der Nutzlasteinfluesse.
