Description

The basic integro-differential equation for the scattering function ω0(1 + xcos(THETA)) is decomposed into two integro-differential equations. Both equations are subjected to Laplace transform to obtain linear singular integral equations which are solved exactly by the theory of linear singular equations in terms of the X-Y equations of Chandrasekhar (1950), as indicated in Das (1978).
