Description
Triple differential cross sections (TDCS) for electron-impact ionization of He+ and Li+ targets are presented for final-state electron sharing 4eV excess energy and leaving in opposite directions. The correlated final state wave function in the present model satisfies the asymptotic three-body boundary condition. The initial channel wave function involves a Coulomb wave function due to the long range Coulomb attraction between the incident electron and the screened ionic nucleus. The electron exchange effect between the two continuum electrons has been taken into account properly. An intense influence on target dependence of the angular distributions is noted in the TDCS structure. It is shown that initial channel Coulomb field plays an important role in electron-ion collisions
