Description
In order to meet the requirements of the project configuration of the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC), the thinner THGEM large-area gas detector is developed. This THGEM detector doesn't need an extra chamber at work, besides, the total thickness of the thin THGEM detector is 8 mm which is significantly reduced compared with the original 11 mm. Its effective area is 20 cm × 20 cm, its gain in Ar/iC4H10(97/3)can reach 104 times, the best energy resolution is 30%, the gain uniformity can reach 88.5%, and its gain also presents a good long term stability.
