Prevalence of coordination polyhedrons and medium coordination numbers of rare earths

Description
Structural data on 1300 compounds of rare earths have been analysed. Prevalence of coordination polyhedrons (octahedron, single-base centered tetragonal antiprism, tetragonal antiprism,icosahedron, clinocorona, dodecahedron, tri-face-centered trigonal prism) according to the lanthanide series has been established. Medium coordination numbers for all lanthanides, which change from 8.68 for La to 7.12 Lu, have been calculated
