Refinement of the structure of NdAlO3 by the time-of-flight neutron diffraction method

Description
Msub(r) = 219.2, rhombohedral, R3-barc, asub(h) = 5.3200(1), csub(h) = 12.9125(6) A (asub(rh) = 5.2824 A; α = 60024'), V = 316.5 A3, Z = 6, Dsub(c) = 6.90 Mg m-3, T = 293 K. The structure has been refined by profile analysis of time-of-flight neutron diffraction data. Rsub(profile) = 0.022 for 212 independent hkl. This rhombohedral perovskite is described in terms of three structural parameters, the octahedron tilt, the flattening of the octahedron and the rhombohedral angle. (Auth.)
