Description
The breakdown probability dependence on voltage was investigated in a illuminated or unilluminated nitrogen filled diode by successive repeated trials of voltage applications after 10 n As charge injection pulses. The number of trails till breakdown takes place was consistently higher in illuminated diodes at all preset voltages indicating that illumination reduces the breakdown probability. (author)
