Ferromagnetic and spin wave resonance in crystalline and amorphous Co-Zr alloy films - study of heterogeneous structure

  • 1. AN SSSR, Novosibirsk. Inst. Fiziki

Description

Using the spin wave resonance method, the dispersion law modification for spin waves in Co100-xZrx (x=1-20) solid solutions in amorphous and crystalline states is studied. It is shown that in these alloys the ω (k2) modification is caused by magnetization fluctuations: the correlation radius of these fluctuations is measured, its concentration dependence is determined. It is found that magnetization long-wave fluctuations in the tested alloys are caused by chemical inhomogeneities of ∼ 10 nm size. The phase diagrams of Co-Zr alloys are plotted in the ''physical property-concentration'' axes for physical characteristics from SHF measurements. The experiments have shown the possibilities of spin-wave spectroscopy for studying the structure of amorphous alloys and solid solutions
