Transmutation of 90Sr and 137Cs bearing radioactive wastes

Description
Calculation results for concentration reduction of long-lived 90Sr and 137Cs in high-level radioactive wastes at 600 MeV proton irradiation or 10-20 MeV gamma irradiation are presented briefly. Origination of by-product long-lived nuclides is evaluated. Both techniques are shown to be promising ones at flux high density which is practically unattainable for now
