Description

The hydraulic behavior of the main heat exchanger of Daqing 200 MW nuclear heating reactor is studied through a 1:2.33 test model. The design and other feature of the test model is described. The experimental results show that the flow resistance coefficient of the heat exchanger becomes self-simulation when Reynolds number is greater than 5000. The value of flow resistance coefficient at self-simulation condition and the distribution of pressure drop in the heat exchanger are given through experiment. The optional design to reduce flow resistance is proposed. The designed and experimental values for the flow resistance coefficient are in good agreement. The variation of system parameters during flow excursion is described. The experimental results are of great significant for the final design of the main heat exchanger of Daqing 200 MW nuclear heating reactor
