Features of irreversible phase transition in lithium iodate crystals

Description

The essential difference in magnitude of the irreversible phase transition (Tα→β) in lithium iodate crystals (α-LiIO3) depending on the electrodes material and the methods of measuring is shown. The supposition of influence on measurable Tα→β of an electrical field of an electrochemical origin applied along the optical axis of crystals is made. On the base of α-LiI03 crystals the electrochemical cell of M1α-LiI03IM1 type is realized and investigated. 15 refs
