Description

A whole range of investigations are currently being carried out in connection with the shut-down of commercial uranium-graphite reactors. These investigations are aimed at the assessment of the radioactive contamination of individual components of the reactor system: the piping and equipment of the first loop, the process channels, and the graphite cladding. This paper presents the data obtained on the range of the isotopic contamination of the reactor system and the contributions of individual radionuclides to the total radioactivity. The technology of the decontamination of the piping and equipment of the reactor first loop has been developed
