Description

The interactions of oxides-additions with solid solutions of (0.89-0.90)ZrO2+(0.11-0.10)Sc2O3 (mol. fractions) compositions have been investigated. It is shown that Fe2O3 and Cr2O3 dissolution in solid solutions of the ZrO2-Sc2O3 system with cubic structure is due to the presence of oxygen-ionic vacancies; TiO2 solubility depends on the value of an average radius of cation of a solid solution. The stabilization of cubic structure of solid solutions of the ZrO2-Sc2O3 system in a wide temperature range probably is bound with the formation of complexes of impurity cation-vacancy type case of addition of Fe2O3 and Cr2O3 and microdomains at TiO2 introduction and with increase of average cation radius of a solid solution in the presence of rare earth element oxides
