The physical properties of PLZT ceramic powders synthesized from a solution of precursors

Description
The aim of this work was to obtain the lead-lanthanum zirconate-titanate (PLZT) ceramic powders and to study them basic physical properties. The paper presents the results of investigation of density, chemical compositions and XRD structure of such prepared powders, and also the influence of lanthanum concentration on those properties. The parameters were examined using following analytical methods: ICP-AES, ESD, XRD and SEM. As fabricated fine powders were underwent consolidation by the hot-pressing method (Ts = 1473 K, ps = 10 MPa, ts = 2 h) and after that the ferroelectric ceramics was obtained. (author)
