Geological models - a mere pastime?
Description
Within the frame of safety studies which are part of the plan approval procedures include a study of the environmental impact of 'nuclear waste deposit sites' before the actual construction of the latter can start. In the case of the site at Gorleben, a ground water model was developed, with which sensitive parameters can be determined by means of different variation calculuses. This demonstrates the possibilities and limits of geological models. (orig./RB)

Fuer die geplanten nuklearen Endlager werden vor der Errichtung, im Rahmen von Sicherheitsstudien, die Teil der Planfeststellungsplaene sind, Berechnungen zu den moeglichen Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt durchgefuehrt. Fuer den Standort Gorleben wurde eine Grundwassermodellierung entwickelt. Mit dem hier vorgestellten Modell wurden zur Ermittlung sensibler Parameter verschiedene Variationsrechnungen durchgefuehrt, die Moeglichkeiten und Grenzen von geologischen Modellen verdeutlichen.
