Report
Safety research needs for carbide and nitride fueled LMFBR's. Final report
Description
Results are summarized for studies conducted in the following areas: (1) core and primary system designs for carbide and nitride fuels, (2) carbide and nitride fuel element irradiation behavior, (3) reactor behavior under postulated accident conditions, (4) analytical methods of accident analysis to identify major gaps in existing models and data, and (5) post accident heat removal. Recommendations are made for further studies. (U.S.)
