Surface modification of perovskite nanocrystals for high efficiency light-emitting devices

Description

Perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have been expected to possess great potential for applications with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) due to their superior chemical stability, narrow emission spectra-enabling coverage for the next generation of standards for displays, e.g., the B.T. 2020 color gamut, their high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) of up to 90 %, and their plainly tunable emission wavelength in the full visible range using the halide anion composition or the size of the NCs. Here, we demonstrate the surface modification of perovskite NCs by post-synthetic treatment; ligand exchange, halide anion exchange, metal halide doping and surface crystal growth for highly efficient LEDs. Abstract (Japanese)
