This book is the 4. volume of the series 'Fatigue of materials and structures'. It deals with a synthesis of the knowledge acquired on materials fatigue and structures. Both the basic and experimental aspects are described. It is composed of 7 chapters whose main aims are the following: 1)multiaxial fatigue 2)accumulation of fatigue, creep damages and of fatigue-creep interactions 3)fatigue cracks propagation 4)influence of defects (micro-porosities...) on the fatigue resistance 5)fretting fatigue: experimental aspects and modeling 6)thermal fatigue.
