Description

The classical Yang-Mills theory in the strong-coupling limit is investigated. To do this a formal 1/g expansion for potentials is applied. A recurrence formula for the nth-order term in the expansion is given. Mathematical correctness is also discussed and supported by simple examples. The recurrence equations are shown to be gauge covariant order-by-order, and a local screening effect in the strong-coupling limit is established. (author)
