Introduction to the properties of concrete and its application as a reactor containment material
Description
The report gives an introduction to the structure and to the most important properties of concrete which can be decisively influenced by the fresh concrete composition, the manufacture, post-treatment, and by operational conditions. Gas-tight concrete of great hardness can be obtained by following the given guidelines and this is then especially suitable as material for high-temperature reactor containments. The fresh concrete composition suggested for this use is compared to the English pre-stressed concrete pressure vessel. (orig./LH)
Abstract (German)
(orig.)Additional details
