Description
Major improvements in the Studsvik MICBURN/CASMO/SIMULATE LWR core analysis system have further enhanced the accuracy of core follow calculations. The CASMO code has been extended to include multiple bundle geometries, and a full two-group nodal model has been added to the SIMULATE code. Advanced assembly homogenization parameters (discontinuity factors) are computed directly in CASMO-3 and utilized in SIMULATE-3. Benchmark comparisons against PDQ calculations, KRITZ critical experiments, and plant operating data have verified the accuracy of the code system
