Description
The present paper investigates double diffusive magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) natural convection in an inclined square cavity filled with saturated porous medium in the presence of thermal radiation and chemical reaction. The analysis is formulated in terms of vorticity stream function procedure. The governing equations, which are continuity, momentum and energy equations, are solved by finite element method based on Galerkin weighted residual approach. The relevant parameters for computations are angle of inclination, magnetic field parameter, Rayleigh number, buoyancy ratio parameter, Lewis number, Soret number, Dufour number, radiation parameter and chemical reaction parameter. The numerical results are reported terms of streamlines, isotherms, isoconcentrations, the average and local Nusselt numbers and Sherwood numbers. Keywords: chemical reaction, radiation, porous square cavity, inclined magnetic field, Dufour and Soret effects, magnetohydrodynamics, finite element method.
