Description
Certain difficulties are encountered in obtaining exact solution to systems of equations of the theory of plasticity. This is true even for plane-strain conditions. Such solutions are usually found by making assumptions regarding the velocity field and then determining the components of the stress deviator [3-6]. If the stress field is compatible with the velocity field and satisfies the equilibrium equations, then an exact solution can be obtained [6,7]. Several exact solutions were obtained in [1]. These solutions are for the static problem, however. In wide use of impulsive methods for processing metals - forging, cutting, and bending - makes it important that dynamic problems also can be considered
