Description
We investigate the pairing, charge-density, and spin-density correlations of a one-dimensional electron-exciton model using Monte Carlo simulations and analytic results from the strong-coupling limit. The zero-frequency susceptibilities characterizing these correlations are studied as a function of band filling and various interaction parameters, particularly retardation. The conditions which are most favorable for a given type of correlation are determined
