Current channels for neutron flux monitoring system in research reactors

  • 1. Instituto de Engenharia Nuclear (IEN), Rio de Janeiro, RJ (Brazil)

Description

A neutron flux monitoring system was developed in order to substitute the old IPR-R1 reactor'instrumentation. The system is composed of a pulse channel, logarithmic, linear and per-cent power current channels and limit value comparators. This work presents a concise description of the current channels with emphasis on the electrical and environmental tests to which current channels with emphasis on the electrical and environmental tests to which current meters, that compose these channels, were submitted.
