Radon, warning: indoor pollution. The Breath Newsletter Nr 64

A first article presents the radon, a natural radioactive gas which can be found in confined spaces like underground mines and many houses. Radon isotopes are evoked, and the author outlines that indoor exposure to radon is an actual public health problem. A second article evokes the consequences and risks of an exposure to radon (notably cancer risk) and evokes some data regarding radon in France. Health risks are then more detailed (higher risk of lung cancer for smokers). The next article outlines the fact that there is a regulation for establishments open to the public, but none regarding housing. The last article evokes how to measure radon at home.
