Beta decay of 113Cd

Description
Beta decay of 113Cd is investigated experimentally in the Solotvina underground laboratory. The shape of the spectrum of the nonunique fourth-forbidden β decay of 113Cd is measured with a low-background scintillation setup based on a CdWO4 crystal. The half-life is found to be T1/2=(7.7±0.3)x1015 yr
