Description

Precise, absolute γ-ray efficiencies (εγ) and total efficiencies (εT) were measured at various distances from the detector, using a set of standards. The observed linear variation of εγ and εT as well as εγ/εT with Eγ and 1/√d provides a simple means of interpolation and extrapolation. Experimental coincidence summation effects were determined for various nuclides and compared with calculated values. The results are found to be in good agreement with each other.
